Citigate Dewe Rogerson announced today that it has been appointed by Patni, the global IT services provider, to support its ambitious plans for growth in Europe with a strategic business to business and corporate PR programme.
Listed on the New York and Bombay stock exchanges, Patni has 15,000 employees across the globe and provides IT and business services to clients in the insurance, financial services, manufacturing, life sciences, telecommunications and media & entertainment sectors, as well as IT services from its technology-focused practices.
Citigate won the six-figure brief in a three-way pitch following an in-depth analysis of the technology PR agency marketplace.
The new programme will involve a series of briefings with key international vertical sector media and business media, helping to build Patni’s brand reputation in Europe.
Jeremy Mackinlay, European marketing director at Patni, said: “We selected Citigate Dewe Rogerson not only for its long-term experience of working with companies to differentiate their brands in the global IT services sector, but also because it works with clients in the same vertical sectors as us, including insurance, telecoms, financial services and media. Having access to Citigate’s European network of agencies was another important factor. We very much look forward to getting started with the new programme.”
Jonathan Flint, managing director of the corporate division at Citigate Dewe Rogerson, commented: “We have an excellent track record in the scoping and delivery of high quality programmes for global IT services companies. We are delighted to welcome Patni to Citigate.”
The Patni account will be led by Judith Massey, senior director and head of the corporate technology division at Citigate. She will be supported by a team of three.
