• Europe’s largest ever order of business jets worth $1.5 billion
London (25 September 2008) Jet Republic, a new boutique private jet airline, has appointed Citigate Dewe Rogerson (‘Citigate’) to handle its launch. Citigate has been working with its European agencies to prepare for the launch at Farnborough Airport, Hampshire.
The account is led by Executive Director Phil Anderson supported by Directors Alistair Kellie and Holly Clark and reports to Jet Republic’s Marketing Director, Richard Thomas and Communications Director, Lysbeth Fox. Citigate is launching Jet Republic across Europe, but focusing on the business and high net worth markets of the UK, France, Germany, Switzerland and Russia.
At Tuesday’s launch, Jet Republic announced that it has secured Europe’s single largest order of business jets with the purchase of 110 Bombardier Learjet 60 XR’s. The new company has been founded by a highly experienced management team with backgrounds in private jet aviation and the luxury and concierge markets. It is backed financially by Euram Bank, the leading Austrian private bank and a consortium of its clients.
Jonathan Breeze, Chief Executive Officer and founder, Jet Republic said, “We have partnered with Citigate and its European network to promote our exciting new concept of a private club in the sky. There is now greater awareness of the travel benefits offered by private jets both to business travellers and to wealthy individuals.
“The inconvenience of travelling through main aviation hubs coupled with the dramatic increase in European high net worth and ultra high net worth individuals in countries such the UK, Russia, Germany and France means that premium private jets have never been in greater demand.”
Phil Anderson, Executive Director, Citigate Dewe Rogerson, said, “Jet Republic aims to be the most desirable private club in the sky and to revolutionise the private jet market. We are delighted to be working with the team at Jet Republic to promote this exciting new brand across Europe. In what is undoubtedly a tough economic climate, Jet Republic has developed a boutique approach to the private jet market to cater for the growing demand for this type of travel among European business people and wealthy consumers.”
Operationally based in Lisbon, Portugal, Jet Republic will offer shared ownership on a fractional basis over five years as well as a card scheme enabling members to buy blocks of 25 hours flight time. Jet Republic members will benefit from transparent pricing with no surcharges for fuel despite fluctuating costs.
The first flights in the new aircraft will be available from summer 2009, however Jet Republic will offer charter aircraft from launch.
