Park Resorts appoints Citigate Dewe Rogerson for consumer brief
24 June 2009

Following a competitive pitch, Park Resorts, the UK’s second largest holiday park operator, has appointed Citigate Dewe Rogerson (CDR) as its retained consumer PR agency.

The agency will be running campaigns to tap into the increasing popularity of British holidays as people stay away from the eurozone and look for better bargains closer to home.

With 37 holiday parks across the UK, Park Resorts has a greater choice of locations than any other company, with parks from the Isle of Wight to Scotland and from Wales and the South West to East Anglia.

“Park Resorts is already seeing strong growth in bookings as people choose to stay in the UK this year,” says CDR director Brandon Stockwell. “We will be communicating the variety of accommodation on offer, from tent pitches to luxury caravans and lodges. As well as the wide range of on-site entertainment, people are also attracted by the fact that the parks are a great base for exploring the British coast. We will be highlighting these aspects of the offering, both for those looking to rent, and for people wanting to buy caravans on the parks.”

CDR have a team of four on the account, reporting into Park Resorts’ sales and marketing director Andy Edge. He said: “We were really impressed with CDR’s grasp of the brief, the passion of the team, and their creativity. We’re looking forward to putting their plans into action and raising the profile of the Park Resorts brand.”

As well as the consumer activity, CDR will also be covering a crisis and corporate remit.

Andy Edge and Park Resorts were featured on Channel 4's Undercover Boss last week.
