Citigate Dewe Rogerson has hired former journalist Caroline Merrell as a director in its Financial Division.

Caroline joins CDR from Cubitt Consulting where she was a director in its private equity and capital markets division. Caroline will start at CDR on 7 October.

Before joining the PR industry, Caroline spent more than 15 years as a journalist, mainly at The Times, where she covered banking, private equity and financial services. Her appointment is the third recent senior hire by CDR.
