Grant Ringshaw joined Citigate Dewe Rogerson in March 2008 after a career in journalism spanning almost 20 years. Since joining Citigate, he has advised a range of retained financial and corporate clients including the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG), Prudential, Santander UK, Credit Suisse, Yorkshire Building Society, insurers Chaucer and LV=, the Qatar Investment Authority, US-listed infrastructure and engineering group URS Corporation and DC Advisory Partners as well as smaller cap companies, such as London Scottish Bank.

He has worked on a wide range of transactions across a range of sectors, including the LSEG’s proposed merger with TMX, Simon Property Group’s proposed offer for Capital Shopping Centres, Yorkshire Building Society’s mergers with Norwich & Peterborough and Chelsea Building Society, and the agreed takeover of Chaucer by The Hanover Group.

Grant also specialises in advising on strategic issues, crisis management, shareholder activism, and litigation support cases. He has also wide experience advising on complex and hostile debt restructuring deals.

Grant was City editor of the Sunday Times, Britain's biggest selling broadsheet newspaper, between September 2006 and March 2008 after joining from the Daily Telegraph. He was deputy City editor of the Sunday Telegraph for more than two years, working at the paper between 1998 and 2005.
