An MA Honours graduate from Edinburgh University, Nick joined CDR in September 2007 as a Director within the Investor Relations practice.  He has extensive experience of financial markets and equity analysis across many sectors, having a fund management background.

Alongside providing conventional IR services to UK and overseas clients that follow the financial calendar, Nick provides strategic consultancy advice including raising clients’ profiles amongst the investment community, be they illiquid established companies or companies that have just come to market for example, and M&A deals including contested situations: most recently, Colfax’s £1.5bn bid for Charter International plc.

Nick also runs a number of special projects that centre on the analysis of the key drivers of corporate valuations, from both a quantitative and qualitative perspective.  These assist companies to gain a clearer understanding of the market’s concerns and expectations, so helping them to deliver their messaging more clearly and effectively. 

Nick’s remit is to look after the IR activities of European and Middle Eastern clients:  current and recent clients include Aamal Company (Qatar), bwin.party, EDF, Erste Bank, G4S, Hammerson, Magyar Telekom, Richemont and UK Coal.

Before joining Citigate Dewe Rogerson, he was a UK fund manager and analyst at Abbey National Asset Managers (formerly Scottish Mutual) in Glasgow. Prior to this, he was based in London, at Henderson Global Investors and PriceWaterhouse Coopers, where he trained and qualified as a Chartered Accountant (ACA).

Nick is also an Associate of the CFA Society of the UK (ASIP).
